Our five pillars

Our work

Active Sleaford exists to help make sport and activity easier to access, easier to deliver and better connected across the Sleaford area.

Five pillars, one aim

We work across five key areas to create a more active, inclusive and connected Sleaford.

Practical support, guidance and resources to help local clubs and groups thrive.

Supporting Clubs

Strong local clubs create more opportunities for people to be active. We want to understand what clubs need and help connect them with practical support, resources and opportunities.

Connecting People

Finding the right activity should be simple. We help residents discover local clubs, sessions, venues and volunteer opportunities, and help organisations reach more people.

Removing Barriers

People can face many different barriers to taking part. We want to understand those barriers locally and work with the community to reduce them.

Building Community

Sport and activity can bring people together, build friendships, strengthen local organisations and create a greater sense of belonging.

Skills & Education

Clubs, volunteers and communities are stronger when people have access to the right skills, knowledge and development opportunities.

Community needs assessment

Our 2026 community needs assessment will help us understand what’s working, what’s needed and where we can make the biggest difference together.
