Supporting Clubs
Strong local clubs create more opportunities for people to be active. We want to understand what clubs need and help connect them with practical support, resources and opportunities.
Every year we run a community needs assessment to hear directly from clubs, activity groups, community organisations and schools. Your answers help us understand what’s working, what’s missing and where support could make the biggest difference.
The findings shape our priorities, the partnerships we pursue and the opportunities we share.
We aim to point clubs towards practical help. Depending on what you need, that can include:
Sharing grants and funding opportunities relevant to local clubs and groups.
Helping clubs advertise roles and connect with people who want to help.
Signposting useful learning such as first aid, safeguarding and coaching.
Pointing you to trusted guidance on running a club well.
Helping clubs find and share suitable places to play and train.
Listing your activities so more local people can find you.
We signpost to trusted sources; we don’t provide regulated professional advice (for example legal or financial advice).
Clubs often face the same challenges. We want to help local organisations share ideas, opportunities and challenges, so good practice spreads and nobody has to solve every problem alone.
